FAther Vandebilt Assembly 2322 Sir Knight and Family of the Year for 2025 - 2026

The officers and members of Father Vandebilt Assembly 2322 extend our sincere gratitude to Sir Knight  George Swindel for his years of faithful service. His commitment, generosity, and willingness to serve have helped strengthen our Assembly and advance the principles of Charity, Unity, Fraternity and Patriotism. George is our  2025 - 2026 Sir Knight of the Year.

We are  pleased to congratulate Craig and Susan Portier on being named the Assembly 2322 Family of the Year for 2025 - 2026, a well-deserved recognition.

    Assembly 2323 proudly recognizes Sir Knight Maurice Evans as the recipient of the Assembly Order of Merit Award.

    The award was presented by Past Faithful Navigator Sir Knight Mark Bascle during the Assembly’s Installation of Officers ceremony.

        State of Louisiana Patriotic Essay Award Winner Sophie Henry

          St. Bernadette Elementary School student Sophie Henry was awarded the State Of Louisiana Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus Patriotic Essay Award.  Combined with winning the local Assembly 2322 and the Houma/Thibodaux Diocese Awards, Sophie was awarded a total of $800 for her essay.

        St. Bernadette School Mass for Patriotic Program Essay Award 02/24/26

        Sir Knights from Father Vandebilt Assembly 2322 joined Father Andre Melancon to celebrate the St. Bernadette School Mass where the Patriotic Essay Award for the Assembly and the Diocese was awarded to Sophie Henry.

          Choose Life Mass 01/18/2026

          Sir Knights from Father Vandebilt Assembly 2322 joined Father Andre Melancon to celebrate Midnight Mass on Christmas morning 2025.  This tradition dates back many years and is one of the honored traditions of Assembly 2322.  Serving as Color Corp Commander was Faithful Navigator Mark Bascle who is serving his final term as Faithful Navigator shown beside Father Andre with Past District Master Kell Luke.

          Midnight Mass Christmas - December 25, 2025

          Sir Knights from Father Vandebilt Assembly 2322 joined Father Andre Melancon to celebrate Midnight Mass on Christmas morning 2025.  This tradition dates back many years and is one of the honored traditions of Assembly 2322.  Serving as Color Corp Commander was Faithful Navigator Mark Bascle who is serving his final term as Faithful Navigator shown beside Father Andre with Past District Master Kell Luke.

          An Hour with a Hero Program

          Assembly 2322's first Hour with a Hero speaker was Mr. Norris Morvant.  


          Morvant, a 101-year-old French-speaking Cajun from Thibodaux, served in the Army Air Corps during World War II.


          As a bilingual soldier, Morvant could translate documents, decipher messages and speak directly with the people whose countries were being liberated by the Allies.


          Morvant ended up being taken as a Prisoner of War for two and a half years.  


          Assembly 2322 thanks and salutes you Mr. Morvant.  May God Bless!

            Fourth Quarter 2025 Fourth Degree Honor Guards

            Ordination of Bishop Simon Peter Engurait

            On September 5, 2025, several Sir Knights from Father Vandebilt Assembly 2322 joined with our brothers to provide the Honor Guard for the Ordination of our new Bishop Simon Peter Engurait. The Knights are proud to provide this service to our Catholic community.
